It’s 9:51pm this Saturday night and I walk into my house mesmerized by the moon I see through my deck glass door. I can’t let this sight get forgotten. I run upstairs for my tripod and canon camera and set up outside on the deck as I wait for the moon to rise just a little more.

My deck serves as the most perfect look-out to this majestic pearly canvas.

I’m most definitely not a professional photographer but for the beginner, self learner that I am, I feel I’m doing a pretty damn good job capturing Mother Nature through my lense.

I play through the manual settings as I lose myself almost one full hour taking pictures. Instagram filters ain’t got nothing on these.

It felt so good to be by myself, on a Saturday night, with my camera and the same moon I know You are looking at.

On my most recent trip to Colombia I began making bracelets for myself and my friends so I stocked up on the most cutest materials to continue the hobby back home.

I thought that once I was in my sanctuary (my bedroom) I would find the time to sit and get to work. With so many distractions already at home I was so wrong… :/

Are dogs better than humans? I think so!

There is absolutely nothing better than hearing his dog tag jingle in the hallway and from my bed I see my cracked door magically open with no one there…oh but there is!

10 Reasons Why Dogs Are Better Than People:

  1. Their love is unconditional
  2. They are a natural antidepressant
  3. Their tail always gives away how happy they are to see you 🙂
  4. And they’re always ready to accompany you for a car ride (my human sister is too lazy to go with me to the store, most of the time…)
  5. They listen to your problems without judgement.
  6. And wipe away your tears (maybe it’s just the taste -_-)
  7. They prefer nothing more than to lay next to you while binging on Netflix all day.
  8. And you have your own personal, cordless vacuum
  9. They are selfless, and even better…
  10. Teach us to be selfless.

If you don’t have a dog as a pet then you are missing out on the best cuddler in the world, I’m sad to say.

And for those that are not too much of an animal lover, well, then you have quite some time to find people as loyal, joyful, playful, funny and smart as them 🙂
